How to Elope At Lost Gulch, Boulder CO

SO… you found one of my favourite spots in Colorado, and that is where you wanna get married. I’m so pumped for you. Here’s a few things you need to know.

Elopement at Lost Gulch Overlook BOULDER COLORADO

1. Crowds

This is a popular, public spot with lots of locals and tourists (especially during sunset). my advice is to walk above the parking lot, there’s a few spots there where you can get epic lookout views and less crowds. Also, try to avoid weekends if you can, you’ll get MUCH less foot traffic. And lastly, simply ask people to use a spot and typically, you’ll get left alone (people are understanding) but you may have an audience!

2. Get Legal

So this place requires every photographers’ least favorite thing: permits. Your photographer should know how to get one, but just remember that you’ll need one for commercial use. Here’s a link: https://bouldercolorado.gov/osmp/osmp-permits

3. Beware the bears

OK, this is a personal anecdote but… when I arrived this is who greeted me:

If you’re gonna have a picnic after your vows, beware some sneaky creatures coming to get your delicious snacks.
